Get more Clients than me with just 200 followers

How I wrongly grow my Twitter audience to 2,000 as a Video Editor

If you want to get clients with fewer followers.

Then this newsletter is a must-read for you, I am gonna tell you how I fucked up my Twitter game.

I have grown my Twitter account to 2,000 followers but I am gonna tell you how to get the same amount of clients as me with less than it.

But before I tell you the Lesson, let’s see how I learned it.

So you can believe that it is not just a random tip from the internet.

I was failing as a Thumbnail Designer.

That’s the reason why I decided to pursue Video Editing.

I believed in my guts and decided to grow my Twitter to get clients as a Video Editor.

(p.s: I failed as a thumbnail designer because of a lack of clients)

I started learning Twitter through many videos, tutorials, threads, and most importantly by observing other creators and how they grow.

It worked and I was able to switch to full-time as a Video Editor within 30 days.

In 3 months, I had already grown my Twitter to 900 followers.

I decided to grow my Twitter even more so I could create an agency out of it.

Yeah, a Video Editing agency and I was able to grow it to 2,000 followers.

But, I had made a terrible mistake.

I never cleared my vision, I never thought about which types of clients I want to work with.

Growing from 900 to 2,000 followers, I got many leads but they were not the clients who I wanted to work with.

I ended up not working with them.

That’s when I realized that I build an audience of Editors, not clients.

I shared content specifically for Editors.

You will never find a single post on my Twitter that talks about YouTubers and solving their problems.

That was my biggest mistake in growing my Twitter.

But I learned the lesson, the hard way.

I will try fixing this problem now, I want to give this agency stuff a try.

Not only to scale my business but to document it on YouTube.

So few of you can learn and never repeat the mistakes that I have made.

Lesson

If you are trying to grow on Twitter to get clients.

Never get lured by fancy numbers of likes and reach.

Focus on your end goal.

If you want to get clients from your Twitter, create content that solves your client’s problems.

So they can see it.

Not for one another random video editor.

Define what you want from your Twitter, More Reach or More Clients?

Future note

I am not gonna discontinue my Twitter journey. I am still learning this stuff.

I am just another guy who is in his own way trying to figure out.

And sharing his learnings whatever I learned.

I am going to post all my learnings and failures on Twitter and in this Newsletter.

Besides that, I am gonna document my journey of building my agency on YouTube.

If I don’t do it, burn my ass in my DM.

Here’s my Channel Link.

Till the next newsletter

Live a life worth telling.
