Video Editing is Saturated Now!
Should we learn something else?
If you think that Video Editing is saturated,
Yeah, you are right — It is saturated. Saturated with 95% newbie editors.
These are the editors who have
a portfolio with stock footage
Never rarely worked with clients
Only have edited for their friend’s birthday video
Last year I posted a tweet, asking “I am hiring, please put your portfolio down here”
Guess how many editors applied?
more than 400+ editors.
You may be thinking, that is a lot of editors.
Yeah, you are right. But I still couldn’t find anyone who fits my requirements.
Either they were a very basic editor or a newbie who just watched a software introduction video and now called themselves “YouTube Video Editors”.
When they have only learned how to cut and throw different images and some sketchy transitions that are built into the editing software.
I understand that we all go through that phase.
We all learn and improve.
One thing I want you to take out of this email is that:
if you are not getting clients, that’s a skill issue.
P.S. If you're feeling stuck, struggling to build your portfolio, and want to make your first $1000 as a video editor, I’m here to help.
